Resin Driveway Company in Wishaw
Prestige Paving & Landscaping Ltd has more than 20 years’ experience laying driveways, and Lanarkshire is a big part of our area. From Cambusnethan and Coltness to Craigneuk and Overtown, the same small team looks after your resin drive from first visit to handover, with no call centres and no subcontractors.
Resin is a thin surface, so it depends entirely on the base below. We check whether your existing drive is sound enough to lay over or dig it out and build a new porous base with proper edging, then mix and hand-trowel the resin on site.
- Honest advice on whether to overlay or rebuild
- Fixed written quotes with no hidden extras
- UV-stable resin and quality kiln-dried aggregates
- Colour samples brought to your survey
Resin bound driveways in Wishaw
Resin Driveway Installation in Wishaw
A resin bound driveway gives Wishaw homes a smooth, seamless, modern finish that drains naturally and needs very little maintenance.

We lay resin bound driveways across Wishaw, Cambusnethan, Newmains and Overtown, from single front drives to large double driveways with paths to the door. Natural kiln-dried stone is mixed with clear UV-stable resin and hand-trowelled into an even, seamless surface with no loose chips and no weeds.
Because resin bound is permeable, rainwater drains through it instead of pooling or running onto the pavement. That keeps it dry underfoot and usually means no planning application for a front drive.
Most of our resin drives are finished with a block border for a crisp, contained edge. Drag the slider to see this bungalow driveway before and after.

How we build it
From dig-out to finished resin drive
Where a new base is needed, the groundwork matches any of our driveways. These photos are from a real Prestige dig-out.

Free survey & samples
We check your existing drive, levels and drainage, show you resin colour samples and give you a fixed written price.
Overlay or dig-out
Sound surfaces are cleaned and repaired. Failing drives are dug out and the waste taken away.
Solid, porous base
A compacted sub-base and a porous base layer are laid so the resin has a firm, free-draining foundation.
Edging & borders
Block borders and edging are set in concrete to frame the drive and hold the resin crisply in place.
Mix & trowel
Resin and kiln-dried stone are mixed in small batches on site and hand-trowelled to a smooth, even finish.
Cure & handover
We clean up, leave the resin to cure and walk you round the finished drive. Usually ready to drive on within a day.
Local know-how
Resin driveways for every type of home
From sandstone villas to new estates in Coltness and Waterloo, resin suits almost every Wishaw home. The best approach depends on your current drive and how the ground falls.
Front garden conversions
On busy streets in Craigneuk and Gowkthrapple, gardens become off-street parking, with a dropped kerb arranged through North Lanarkshire Council if needed.
Tired tarmac or concrete
Lots of newer homes around Coltness have plain builder’s tarmac. If it’s sound, resin over the top gives it a new lease of life.
Old slabs & block paving
Uneven slabs and sunken monoblock lifted out and replaced with a new base and resin.
Sloping driveways
Parts of Wishaw slope towards the Clyde Valley. Careful levels, edging and channel drains keep water away from the house.
Older & character homes
Warm, natural resin blends and cobble borders that suit Wishaw’s sandstone villas and terraces.
Paths & patios to match
Resin paths to the door and garden patios in the same blend for a seamless finish.

Resin bound driveways
Resin Bound Driveways in Wishaw
Resin bound is one of the most popular driveways we lay in Wishaw. Kiln-dried natural stone is bound in clear UV-stable resin and hand-trowelled into a smooth, seamless surface that looks great and needs almost no upkeep.
On a new driveway we dig out, compact a stone sub-base and lay a porous base course, giving the resin a firm, free-draining foundation that won’t crack or sink.
- Seamless, smooth and weed-free
- Permeable, so rain drains straight through
- UV-stable resin that won’t yellow

Resin over existing drives
Resin Over Existing Driveways
Where your tarmac or concrete drive is sound, level and draining well, we can often lay resin straight over it. No full dig-out means a quicker job and usually a lower price.
We’ll check the surface thoroughly at the survey and repair any cracks or dips first. If it isn’t up to it, we’ll tell you honestly that a new base is the better option.
- Quicker and less disruptive
- Old surface cleaned, repaired and primed
- Honest advice if a new base is needed

Resin colours & borders
Resin Colours & Borders
Resin comes in a wide range of stone blends, from crisp silvers and greys to warm buffs and golds. Daltex blends such as Oyster and Platinum are popular in Wishaw, and we bring samples so you can see them against your home.
Most resin drives are framed with a charcoal, silver or contrasting block border for a crisp, neatly contained edge.
- Daltex Oyster, Platinum and more
- Charcoal, silver and contrasting borders
- Samples brought to your survey

Resin paths & patios
Resin Paths & Patios
Resin isn’t only for driveways. A resin path to the front door or a resin patio in the back garden gives the same smooth, low-maintenance finish and ties your whole property together.
Because resin is trowelled into shape, it works well around curves, steps and borders where slabs would need lots of cutting.
- Front paths and side access
- Back garden patios and seating areas
- Curves and shapes without awkward cuts

Old drive replacements
Old Driveway to Resin
Many of our resin jobs in Wishaw start with a tired old drive: cracked slabs, patchy concrete or a garden with nowhere to park. We clear it, build a proper base and finish it in resin with a block border.
Drag the slider to see this driveway before and after.
- Old slabs, concrete and paving removed
- New compacted sub-base and porous base
- Finished in resin with block borders

Monoblock driveways
Monoblock Driveways in Wishaw
As well as resin, we lay monoblock driveways across Wishaw in any colour, pattern and border, built on a properly dug-out, compacted base with concrete-set edging.
- Herringbone and feature patterns
- Contrasting and Sky Cobble borders
- Re-lays and replacements

Tarmac driveways
Tarmac Driveways in Wishaw
Tarmac is a hard-wearing, great-value choice for longer drives and drives with several cars. We lay it hot on a compacted stone base and roll it smooth, often with a block or cobble border.
- Block and Sky Cobble borders
- Front garden to driveway conversions
- Most tarmac drives laid in one or two days

Good to know
Resin driveway questions we’re often asked
What does a resin driveway cost in Wishaw?
It depends on the size of the driveway, whether the existing surface can be overlaid or needs digging out, access, and the resin blend and borders you pick. Overlays on sound tarmac or concrete cost less than a full new build. We survey Wishaw driveways free of charge and give you a fixed price in writing.
What’s the difference between resin bound and resin bonded?
Resin bound has the stone mixed through the resin and trowelled smooth, giving a seamless, permeable surface with no loose stones. Resin bonded is resin with gravel scattered on top, which is rougher, sheds stones and doesn’t drain. We only lay resin bound.
Can resin be laid over my existing drive?
In many cases, yes, provided your tarmac or concrete is sound, level and well drained. We clean and repair it first. If it’s cracked or breaking up, we’ll recommend a new base so the problems don’t come through the resin.
Do I need planning permission for a resin driveway in North Lanarkshire?
Usually not. Resin bound is permeable, so rainwater drains through it, which is what the rules for front driveways generally require. Listed buildings, flats and conservation areas can be different, and new or wider dropped kerbs need North Lanarkshire Council’s consent.
How long does it take to lay a resin drive?
Most resin driveways in Wishaw take two to four days, including groundwork and borders. Overlays can be quicker. It’s usually fine to walk on after a few hours and drive on after around 24 hours, depending on the weather.
Will my resin driveway discolour?
Not with UV-stable resin, which is what we use. Cheaper resins can yellow in sunlight, so we only use quality Daltex blends that keep their colour.
How do I look after a resin driveway?
Just sweep it occasionally and give it a power wash now and then. There are no loose stones to tidy and nowhere for weeds to root in the surface.
